Unique Christmas Presents for the Men in Your Life

Updated on December 21, 2021

Just like anyone of us, men also get amazed to get Christmas presents. But they are the most difficult to buy for. Do you agree?

If you buy them a shirt, you’ll have to guess if they'd ever wear it. Colognes, wallets, and pens are quite common and they may have lots of these items already. They’ve probably got a toolbox in their cars and wouldn’t need a new set.

Men like gifts that give them more time to do the things they like doing. If you're creative enough - there actually are unique Christmas presents for men that you can think of.

You might love my suggestions:

1) Roasted Rice Grains

Men love coffee, and when they know it's home-roasted (by you), you turn them speechless! Roasted rice grains for our family is a favorite alternative to the famous coffee beans. It's as quick as stirring rice grains on a pan until they turn roasty black. The taste? Timeless!

If you know your men more, there could be many ideas for Christmas presents they may like. If your husband loves coffee, chances are he probably would be surprised with a homemade coffee flavoring. Salted Chocolate Coffee Creamer, is a good one to try making at home, here's the recipe.

2) Very Cold Beer, Perhaps?

All the men in your house would surely enjoy a very cold beer. Surprise them with a beer in the can so cold they would love to guzzle it just not to miss the moment of icy-ness. Just don't forget the pot roast.:)

Why not get them a new brand to try? Though this can be expensive as some brands carry a rich and interesting origin of brews, the idea is worth the holidays. Sapporo Space Barley, for instance, has a sweeter taste and hoppier aroma making it among the best beers in Japan.

If the men in your house have been used to classics, perhaps new and complex flavors can make it a Christmas to remember. I want to try this idea!

3) Homemade Sweets

I can't say I made them perfectly, but thankfully, my creations looked like those on the go. I love cakes, pastries, and little sweets... and so… I did homemade gift packages for my favorite men -- Dad, my brother, brothers in law and a cousin.

I made bunches of caramel corn puffs, chocolate cookies, and of course, the little but ever-present milk candies (polvoron), and my mother's nougat! Everything was done quick and fun with little hands eager to help in wrapping up nougats and candies in small parcels and the rest of the goodies with decorative cellophane bags.

I was so happy to see how delighted everyone was to see my personalized gifts. I couldn't explain the joy as I watched everyone smacking sweets merrily... I even ate along.

The beautiful thing is the feeling of how my humble presents gathered the whole family in the true spirit of oneness. This Christmas, I'm thinking of no-bake cheesecakes, I should be good at it, lol. Not kidding... and yes, I will make all of these from… scratch! Wait for it.

4) A Magazine Subscription

Is your Dad a magazine lover? Mine was, as a matter of fact, I have read about world leaders and news around the world through his TIME and Reader's Digest.

Why not treat him with a kind of gift that keeps giving year-round – a magazine subscription! It sounds old fashion, but magazines offer a lot of current information. Look for a mag he is interested in and subscribe. The best thing is he gets every issue delivered to his doorstep on time.

5) Movie Tickets

Guys, in general, are busy individuals, and a cinema treat could help them unwind. They can watch the movie as a couple or together with the family.

Once I sent my boss (not one of my favorite men anymore, lol) two movie tickets for him and his wife, sealed in a self-made envelope. The next day I was amazed his wife sent me a cake with a message that delivers ” Thank you for the treat." ... Wow, it was an enormous feeling!

6) Bling-Bling

Of course, men wear bling. Don't worry, it's in the trend these days so you won't make them squirm. Look around and you'll see stylish jewelry for men to choose from, whether he likes something refined or casual.

Any bling-bling that you think your man can incorporate into his daily life can be creative. It doesn't have to be flashy, there are beaded wristlets or chain necklaces. If he is an executive, a Bulgari or Paul Smith signature ring can make him smile.

He's conservative? What about some bling for his car? You couldn’t be happier to see the bling you give might be hanging in the rearview mirror. I actually have not tried gifting bling-bling for men. Soon!

7) Jersey Shirt

Instead of the regular T-shirt, gift them a Jersey shirt which is made of a versatile fabric great for busy days. Not only jerseys are soft and stretchy, but absorbent and breathable, as well, they can be used as underwear, sweatshirt, sportswear, and athleisure.

So I was telling myself again that since most of my men go out cycling, then outdoor gears are perfect. What's nice too is that I can add to the cycling supplies for family members, as I'm sure we'll all be going out for Christmas mountain biking. But back to my senses, a Jersey shirt for everybody can be a lot expensive.

8) Customized Gifts

From a personalized toiletry box to a necktie pouch and shoe bag, there is nothing like giving away presents they know are personally made for them. Hand-sewing pouches and bags do not need to be fancy. Create styles that can replace an old one and give him something that will keep his personal belongings organized.

Sounds cute and childish, but it makes them feel extra special. Your men know it helps you stay away from buying novelty gift items, and for the most fun part is that you're making great things from small.

For Someone in Need Today

With the pandemic we are facing, let's hope everyone will remember the true spirit of the holidays. Let's wish every family and friend can focus on helping those in need.

If we have find joy giving presents for the men in our lives, perhaps a little something for those in need can make their Christmas a little merrier. It is genuine joy that we all can help fill a beautiful difference in the lives of people. Your humblest cookies can do a little something.

Wishing you a MERRY CHRISTMAS and Happy New Year!
